FISKARS CHOPPING AXE & SPLITTING AXE - WHICH IS BEST?

Fiskars makes great tools for work that work and today we will be testing two axes...one for splitting and one for chopping. They both are great axes but they are different in what they work for...check this out!

I’ve only been chopping and splitting about 3 years. Started with the Fiskar chopping and splitting axes, and maul. Still going strong. I also prefer to split manually whenever possible. Thanks for the video.

Chris, i have an X-27 and a X-7 hatchet along with a 28 inch hookeroon and a 17 inch hookeroon. the 28 inch broke about 2 inches off the tip. i contacted FISKARS and they said take a picture and send it to them. a month later, i had a new hookeroon. loved the video you and Tony did on FISKARS months ago. didn't know they had a chopping ax. thanks for sharing.

You speak the truth about the fiskar. When you and Tony did the video about the x27. I ordered one and it splits like nothing ive ever used.

You’ve probably heard this 1000 times, but (a) I *love* the Fiskars X27, *BUT* (b) the Husqvarna S2800, IMO, is even *better*. Not only does it split better (esp for a 28” handle), but it’s built stronger and the head holds up better, even when I mess up and hit something I’m not supposed to. And the composite handle on the S2800 feels better for me. Just my $0.02 - love your channel!

I love Fiskars products, their classic scissors - for the kitchen or everywhere else - work superbly, the best scissors I've ever had. I also have the X25 for splitting and a X7 to put in my backpack along with the little saw SW73.

I’ve been using fiskars for around 19 years I have broken a couple of them early on, I think they improve them I still continue to buy and use them as I think they are awesome .

Love my Fiskars x27..hits heavy and does the job!! Its nice when you get fatigued, and do overstrike to know that only your hand will hurt, but not the axe haha, good video brother

Nice looking fiskar axes. I seen one in a store yesterday 1 hour away from where I live and the price for one was 87 dollars. Probably 3 feet long. Didn't look to see if it was a x25 or x27 but it was one of them. Thanks for another good video. Take care.

I used a cheap harbor freight maul and Axe last year to split all of my firewood. After seeing the x27 I bought one this year and wow the difference. Then I bought a log splitter so now I barely use the x27 but when I do it's so much easier then a maul.
