I love learning about these world drum set grooves and even percussion grooves, because I getting quite board of using the standard rock grooves, plus when playing in a steel/pan group-even though I usually play a steel pan- one has to learn tons of different world grooves like Cha Cha, soca, calypso, samba, reggae, rumba, samba, and even jazz, blues, rock and a lot of other grooves.
