I'm a recovering heroin addict, I started using it in '97, with many relapses along the way. When my mother would hear this song she would always tell me it was the song she would think of the most when I'd be on a run or in rehab or jail. Now, 15yrs after her death, with a 17 & 21yr old children, I think of her and the pain and heartache she must have felt. I miss her beyond words... To say this song pulls beautifully & bittersweet at your heart-strings is an understatement.

Sarah, you will never know how much this song touched my heart. It was new and was played at my Dad's funeral in July of1999. I saw you 5 years to the day later in Nashville perform this song live. He was broken and paralyzed from the waist down from an aneurysm in his stomach. He lived only three months afterward and died of a massive heart attack. I had planned on visiting him that day and taking him to lunch. He died at 2:30am before I could see him. I last saw him on Father's Day in 1999. Thank you for making me think of all the beautiful memories of him and knowing that he is in God's hands!
