LOVE the new song!! Love the alliteration in the first verse... so smooth :) During the SiriusXMU interview, Evan said that the song was inspired by insomnia, and he said like most of his songs he wrote the melody to Phase while on a walk so it has a walking tempo. He came up with the chords on a tenor guitar :) love it!
