This song hits me hard. Dealing with anger issues and depression after getting out of the military, I finally found someone who was patient with me. Through all of my outbursts and meltdowns, she made sure I got the help I needed. "I'm angry and I know that's weak", it hits me hard. I know it's weak, and Im just glad I found someone to be patient with me. Thank you Alyssa.

My favorite part of these two songs together is that "I'm angry, and I know that's weak" is followed up with "Whatever you're feeling is natural, let me let go." The anger is natural; it's teaching him something, but he didn't know that when he was angry.

Skylight puts me in a meditative state. One of the things I tell myself when I have overwhelming feelings or anxiety is that my thoughts are just thoughts. Nothing more. When Evan says "Whatever you're feeling is natural" it makes me feel at peace. I know that I am human and it's okay to feel feelings, I wouldn't be human if I didn't have them.
