I want to give my take before watching the video so that your perspective doesn’t impact my own.

Practice improves aspects of your game, as you can simulate different situations and practice them over and over again without interruption.

However, practice maps will not teach you how to tie all the concepts you learned together. It won’t teach you when it is better to x or y in game, it will only teach you how to get better at x and y. To learn what decisions you should make at what times, you need to play actual matches and learn from your in-game mistakes.
