How to override a dropdown list in excel

How to give the option to override a dropdown list in Excel

This makes things a bit easier, as you don't have to keep on editing the list if there is another item you want to add even though it is not on the list.

Depending on the situation, and how important it is they stick to the list, this could be a great option.
