While I was skiing in the mountains over the festive break, I thought I’d give you a sneak peek into my mountain wardrobe. Over the years I’ve found that investing in durable, high-quality clothes for your winter wardrobe is key, so I make sure to take good care of these pieces – which also preserves the happy memories that spring to my mind when I put them on. Whether you need inspiration for staying chic on the slopes or for keeping cosy by the fire, join me as I rediscover my assortment of high-tech ski jackets, lightweight thermals and warm, woolly knits. This collection has everything I need for a mountain getaway that's stylish, snug and incredibly nostalgic…

Take a whistle-stop tour through Trinny Woodall’s (fifteen) wardrobes with Closet Confessions. In each episode, Trinny deep-dives into a particular section of her closet, mixing high street, vintage, designer and everything in between. This is everything you’ve ever wanted to know about fashion and styling, from the expert herself.

What a beautiful and sensible wardrobe, with wonderful heirloom treasures for generations. The blanket coat is a remarkable work of art. It’s amazing that such brilliant colors could be woven together to create such a truly elegant piece. Thanks for sharing! Enjoy and Happy New Year!

Right about the quality of Zara. Pre recession it was designer finishing, excellent fabrics etc, now it is merely slightly better Primark at best.

It’s so cool that you’ve had this beautiful Alpine getaway for so long. I love that you still have your dad’s jumper & wear it! Thanks as always for sharing some closet confessions. Xx

I love Dale of Norway, who made your alpine sweaters. (Pronounced Doll-uh). Their knits are such high quality that it’s impossible to even get a wrinkle in them if stored for years. That’s the kind of resilience all wool knits should have, but don’t. Wool isn’t just warm, it has other wonderful qualities.

I have just purchased a pre loved Nordic jumper/zipped cardigan, it’s at least 40 years old and it’s in immaculate condition, I intend to keep it wearable for another 40 + years. My daughter’s already aiming to wear it. It’s a passion of mine to keep clothes out of landfill, and worn numerous ways. Thank you for sharing your holiday winter wardrobe with us and I loved the fringed coat. Happy New Year Trinny. 🎉

So, I'm African, and not sure if I'll ever be up the Alps but I've been fascinated by skiing, and CLOSET CONFESSION. I now have an idea what I'll be needing if ever I get the opportunity to go skiing. Thanks, Trinny ❤

Thank you Trinny...I too collect the Norse sweaters and beautiful shirts that go underneath them. My daughter hunts and gathers my stash on a regular basis. I just love how they feel!
