Absolutely no justification to make so many perfectly working pcs obsolete. Disgraceful waste.

I predict that many PCs will still be running Windows 10 well beyond 2025 as its naive for Microsoft to imagine people will discard hardware that is still usable.

And every time I just about forget how much I hate Microsoft, something like this happens.

The question is what value does Win 11 have that justifies any hardware upgrade. OS bloat is not something to tout as an achievement. Nothing Win 11 does makes it a game changer compared to Win 10, Win 7 and even Win XP.

When they said Windows 10 would he the last version, they were right. For me at the very least.

this is going to be Windows Vista on steroids. the fact that you have to do all this is going to be a huge problem. most people are not computer savvy.

Finally a handy video to show people who keep asking this question.
Thanks for the video

What a scam between Micro$oft and the PC Vendors to sell more PCs and licenses . Going to be a lot of good PCs that will not be able to be upgraded and will go to the landfill unless you install another OS or keep going with Win 10

all 5 of my PC's meets way above the Minimum system requirements except none of them have UEFI, Secure Boot so I cant upgrade which I think this is stupid.

Pro tip: you need to disable CSM mode to enable secure boot. It was driving me insane until I figured it out.

It said my i5 4 core 3.2 Ghz processor will not run windows 11? Yet it lists many slower i3 chips as compatible on their accepted list. I am running windows 10 ver. 20H2 now just fine. I do not understand this.

The Home Edition requiring the user to be Logged into a Microsoft Account at first setup is bullshit. What is MS trying to do here?

Mine does. But then I have 128gb of memory and my whole rig is around 8k. I personally think Microsoft have set the specs too high. They know many will be encouraged to go out and buy another pc/laptop.

My laptop is compatible but my desktop doesn't. The desktop has TPM 2.0, 4GB RAM and 1TB Storage. Still, it shows PC is not compatible😞

As long as you are adept with computers YOU can decided whether to upgrade or not regardless of updates are available or not. Security is important but you must balance that with other needs like having a computer at all. Just remember to be safe while using a computer.

Looks like they took the 'Check for compatibility' app down. It just states 'Coming soon' now.

On my older PCs the app says secure boot not enabled even though it is. Pretty sure it’s bugged.
