I like these what ifs, interesting concepts….🤔. Yep, The moon does a lot, I’d hate to think about it if it wasn’t there, our planet would be in danger of colliding with possibly another planet or other objects ….plus all planets in the solar system are most likely to be in danger because of gravitational effects upon them, when one goes imbalanced so would all the others in the solar system. An old scientific saying….”For Every Action There Is An Equal Opposite Reaction.” This is very true in nature and physics. 😎

7:05 if we replaced the moon with Pluto surely we would put it into a slightly closer orbit to adjust for the gravitational difference? But if we have the technology to move planets the easiest thing to do would be to move Mercury - much closer!!

What about if Ganimede, Titan, or Callisto were in orbit? They are all approximately the same size as our moon and if placed within a standard lunar orbit would/should provide relevant stability and tidal pull.

Not forgetting that the moon has been moving away from us at 3.78cm per year, so if it was a bit closer not a lot would happen.

There was a movie about this, but I can't remember the name of it. A single man built an underground bunker. Room for a small amount of people.
In the end, people tried to force their way un. At the last minute, a woman wanted him to save her baby. He grabbed her and threw her inside the bunker. Sacrificing himself to save her.
I wish I could remember the name of it.
