Swastika found on playground; a symbol of hate or part of Diwali holiday

Students at Bentley Elementary School in Canton found a swastika symbol made of wood chips on the playground. When school workers saw it, they were concerned.  The school sent out a robocall notifying parents, letting them know police were investigating, and asking them to share any information they had.  But now parents are wondering, was it an act of hate or has there been a misunderstanding?

The Nazis don’t actually call it a “Swastika”, They call it a “Hakenkreuz.” The Swastika is for Hindus, but when you talk about Nazis, it would be a Hakenkreuz, not Swastika.

I'm not a supporter of the Nazis but in reality the swastika isn't a bad symbol because it come from the Sanskrit word स्वस्तिक (svastika) meaning "well being". Because सु (su, “good, well”) + अस्ति (asti). So the swastika isn't a bad symbol. You'll find anywhere in india because it's a hindu symbol. So people especially americans need to do their research.

I’m a proud Hindu American. I bought my SUV last year and the first thing I had designed on my car was Swastika. My Swastika is not Hakenkreuz. Until you know the difference don’t you dare question my Swastik.

How the west has twisted the word swastika while the nazis never called it swastika but referred to it as "hakenkreuz" which has a deep meaning in christian philosophy. I urge you to educate yourself.

Hakenkreuz is a hooked cross, which is a Christian cross, how did that Hindu symbol become the swastika, which Hitler used to call Hindus a low race, would Hitler have made Swastik a part of his life for the same Hindu? E.T.S. DUGDALE first translated Hitler's book "Mein Kampf" (My Battle) in 1931, in which "Hakenkreuz" was translated into English as the Hooked Cross, a type of Christian cross. Then in order to save the hooked cross from disrepute as part of a conspiracy, a Christian priest James Murphy had to do another English translation of "My Battle", so that he could change the translation of hakenkreus from hooked cross to swastika.

I am Indian but am not Hindu myself but to be honest I find it sad when some people do always think it’s a symbol of hate when it’s just history that has corrupted the symbol
