One of my teachers had a friend whose father was a Kamikaze pilot and was apparently about to take off on a mission after the ceremony that takes place before a flight but apparently the mission was canceled last minute after they received news that the Emperor had surrendered. My teacher showed us photos of the Kamikaze memorabilia that his friend's father had including a headband with some logo on it. It was pretty cool.

If we think now: the most of kamikaze were volunteers, volunteer to serve the army is always somebody with good mentality, and not a bad person... everybody who died there.., we must consent them.. because those persons had their own life... maybe, maybe instead being kamikaze they could be scientifics, poets, But they died... At more they died for the ideology that was not the best, and their country lost anyway.., so its very sad
