How to stop receiving political text messages

While there is no stopping them from reaching out, there is a way to filter the text messages and stop getting notifications.

All they do is text you on a different number Iv even had a text. Telling me I won’t receive any more messages from a different number that I’m trying to stop.

I used to donate but stopped after the relentless begging for money harassment from both parties. I'll probably have to pay for a spam blocking service. It's infuriating getting multiple spams a day from these clowns!

It doesn't work. These reporters didn't do their research. Replying "STOP" or "UNSUBSCRIBE" will stop the number you've just replied to. But what about the other phone numbers? I've blocked between 1700-2000 phone numbers and I still get text messages. About 8-12 a day even on Sundays. I just gave up replying with STOP. I'm going to take this to a lawyer and sue them. No, I will NOT change my number again.

I think it is unanimous that the FCC exception for political spam be removed entirely. Not doing so would be a government going against its people

It needs to stop I didn't subscribe to anything so I shouldn't have to unsubscribe ok. I get 20 of them a day and I do have spam block but they will text you from different numbers. It is a invasion of my privacy, I didn't ask for it, and I don't want it. Either it stops or someone needs to catch a lawsuit.

Replying stop DOES NOT WORK and also filtering out them through your phone does not work either! It’s frustrating. I wish there was a way I could take these people to court! I get at least 100 a day from political people asking for money.

replying STOP DOES NOT WORK because there is an unlimited number of politicians who already have your number and you would have to reply to each and every one of them.
