「AMV」Dragon Ball - Hero of the Day ULTIMATE HD EDITION

So for all those who don't know the editors who originally created the Hero of the Day AMV in the mid 90s it was myself (Maboroshi Studio) and Planet Vegeta. Over the year many have uploaded our video and to the people who have stolen our video or taken credit for it... screw you.

As far as the look of the ULTIMATE EDITION it is in beautiful HD and The GREEN tint is gone! The green tint that all of you are so accustomed to with the original video was actually due to the fact that my video capture card had a faulty color module. So if you want that crappy green look you can mess with the tint on your monitor.

I would also like to note that this AMV is also a collaboration of the original editing team and is the evolution of that original video. When we made the original we probably made it in 4-6 hours and while we loved it we always felt it could be better.

I remember watching this AMV back in 2007. Those days, I was hooked on DBZ coming back from high school. It was AMVs' like these that inspired me. For as far as I remember, The Original AMV introduced me to Mettalica's album "Load." Glad to see that you've preserved such a beautiful piece of work.

Finding this after hearing about Toriyama's death. I remember finding the original version of this before YouTube was a thing. Insane how DB / DBZ influenced me over the years. I have the dvd for this movie in storage. I'll watch it this weekend.

I've been binging this since the news of Toriyama's death. The original version was something I downloaded off of Limewire back in the day and was an AMV I watched over and over. Thanks for the memories. It's been bringing back a lot of nostalgic memories the last several days, and I think it says a lot about the enduring power of Toriyama's legacy that an AMV over 20 years old can be fondly remembered.

I remember around 2000 or so, I bought a bunch of CDs with all of the DBZ episodes in RealPlayer format from some shady guy in Staten Island, NY from Yahoo! Auctions. One of the discs had AMVs on it and this one was on there too, with the green tint and all. It ended up being one of my favorites and it’s amazing to see how many people loved it too. It looks and sounds amazing and brings back memories of a simpler time in my life. Thank you for remastering this one and letting us enjoy it as it was intended without the hardware constraints.

You sir are our childhood. Badass video! I first got this on a CD from my dad around the very early 2000's don't remember what year. I had my HP win98 computer at the time. Also got the frog in the blender, hamster in a microwave flash games on a floppy around that time.

i remember the original, and it was how i was first introduced to the song, it was a great AMV and i played it relentlessly back in the early 2000s. This AMV is now linked to countless memories from back then of genuinely being happy with my life.

I always find it cool when someone goes for an updated version of their own work. You know, one of those "How will it look now with our current level of knowledge and skill."
I quite liked this, though admittedly I haven't seen it in its original form so I'm having fresh eyes to this. Now I'm interested about this green tint matter haha 😄
