May I also add this helpful information
To test your remote is working before attempting your repairs simply aim top of remote at your camera on your phone and press buttons on remote, the phones camera will show remote lighting up as you press buttons that your normal eyesight cannot see as its infra-red and we can't see this but camera can !!
This is a great way to check if all buttons on remote or remote itself are working and even if your unsure about the batteries 👍
