At 1:20 you answered the question that I came looking for. My LG G2 does the same thing that you described for the Nexus 4. I put it on the plate and it kicks in and out a few times before it settles in! Thanks mate!

I use a Note 2 with the Samsung TPU Case... I dont suppose you have a similar case to use with the S3 to see if the wireless charging still works through the case. Also, what QI receiver did you use in the S3? Thanks (great reviews btw)

I have tested wireless charging with cases and if they are thin then it tends to work but it varies a lot depending on the phone, charger used and case material. I used the fatboy nokia wireless charging pillow.

I assume you put a QI patch on the battery inside the S3?

No not yet but there should be some 3rd party backs allowing it to work soon

Have you checked if with the nexus 4 this plate charges the battery to 100%? On my plate, the led never shuts off and the phone is around 97%.
