Why do Magnets REPEL copper???

If you drop a strong magnet like neodymium on a copper plate the magnet slows down instead of attracting to the plate. Why is that? The answer is Lenz's law and eddy currents.

I thought it had to do with the moving magnet inducing electrical fields that travel through the copper and induce magnetic fields in the copper?

If my theory is correct...if it slows down copper...then it can be used as a sort of armor!!because of how he explains...if a copper bullet hits me with that type of magnet it would easily slow it down and the bullet would just fall!!

I'm interested in how it works can it be used against somebody to harm them in any way? I myself at the having problems with electric surgeon starts in the feet runs into the chest makes it heavy and hard to breathe! Any ideas what that might be from? It actually scares me at times
