Our Head of Media Training Dave, discusses some key tips in handling the media.

Try not to spend more than around 10 minutes chatting to the journalist if they only need a quick quote. And never ever repeat any negative language supplied by the journalist they actually use this to elicit an angle and a headline for example
Journalist: “Is this a complete disaster?”
You: “No I wouldn't call it a complete disaster”
Journalist: “Okay, so just a partial one then”
