Probability Comparison: Unfortunate Endings
Yes, everyone must leave this world at some point, but sometimes the fashion in which we do it, is peculiar. Today we're looking at some of the most unfortunate of endings and ways in which people perish in untimely and unlikely manners. Things like getting attacked by a shark, to having a coconut fall on your head, to getting struck by lighting, here is the probability comparison for unfortunate endings!

A few notes:
1) This video is meant to entertain. It's not scientifically or mathematically perfect. However, I did do my best to get as close to possible on the probabilities and odds.

2) The methodology in this video varied. Some numbers were presented from various sources (below) including websites, online articles, and wiki pages. If you search for specific probabilities you will find that not all outlets have the same odds. As such, I used best guesses for giving an 'average' of such notable probabilities.

3) The odds per occurrence vary greatly with demographics - so some ages, genders, countries, etc. have different probabilities of each occurrence than others.

4) Most of the data found was taken and accounted for against population figures from 2019, primarily in first-world countries like USA, UK, Canada and Australia. The sample populations may overlap.

5) As you will notice there are some odds and probabilities that are overlapping and not mutually exclusive. For example, if someone got intoxicated and crashed their boat, that could be considered for either scenario, or both.

I love to make YouTube videos about data that is interesting to me and to others, but showcase the stats in a way that's easily digestible and visually entertaining.
