I strongly advise against attempting this at home, especially if you lack proper training in chemistry and access to the necessary equipment. It's also essential to be mindful of waste management when working with chemical substances. For example, in this case, I collected the water from the synthesis reactions and the discarded chloroform from the distillation in the original bleach bottles. These bottles contain NaOH from the synthesis reactions, which will react with any residual chloroform in the solution. I'll be storing the bottles for a few months to ensure all the chloroform is completely neutralized before disposing of the contents safely. When I dispose of the bottles I'll change this video's description informing about the time I stored the bottles.
