NOAA is predicting a very active 2024 hurricane season for the tropical Atlantic. WFLA's Chief Meteorologist Jeff Berardelli explains why.

Right now tropical development looks very unlikely. Lots of SW shear, no waves, trade winds are disrupted. Where's the Bermuda High?

Sorry to throw cold water on your forecast, but another volcano in Iceland just erupted. We all know that the ash plume will cool the atmosphere reducing the chance of hurricanes
