David when are you talking about Tara Reade?

It is completely dishonest to say that joe Biden is in any way similar to Bernie

Its not just about his own record though, Biden loves "bipartisanship", saying he would love to work with the republicans, and even going as far as saying he might have republicans in his cabinet.

Biden would be better than Trump, but i mean, lets keep it real.

it‘s heartening to see that Trump is being challenged by a single cell organism.
It’s disappointing that half the USA are going down with him

Im a progressive Bernie supporter who dislikes Joe Biden for a myriad of reasons, but to see some of my fellow progressives succumb to the disingenuous narrative that Biden is the same as Trump and is not progressive on any policy issue is disheartening and does nothing but hurt the movement.

Coming from Finland, one of the Nordic Countries Bernie Sanders and the progressive left admire, I would have loved to see Bernie being nominated. That said, we have to accept the reality: political change takes time. The tale of Finland began in 1918 with a bloody civil war fought between wealthier right-wing "Whites" and the "Reds" representing the working class. Ending in a White victory, with our country being more divided than ever, it was the moderate left, not the revolutionaries, who, in cooperation with the centrists, paved the way for Finland becoming the happiest country in the world (according to the World Happiness Report) with extensive social security system, tuition free universities, and quality health care provided to all.

In the USA, a country in which almost half of the population see Bernie and his, by Finnish standards, centre-left policies as "socialist", it's clear that his time is yet to arise. Just as Finland didn't become a welfare state overnight, but through a lengthy process of gradual political reforms, major change in the U.S takes time. The progressive left needs patience and a spirit of cooperation to ever achieve its honourable goals. Joe Biden is far from a perfect candidate, but he is certainly a step in the right direction. Four more years of Trump and his bigotry, on the other hand, would not only be a catastrophe for the American people and the world in general, but would lead to lying and name-calling becoming a norm in the political field, and worst of all, deepen the line between the already heavily polarized political extremes.

Remember John Dickinson's words: "United we stand, divided we fall!"

I wish you all the best of luck in your pursuit of making the United States a better place for all. Peace.

Great video again, David. Your continued push to look at facts is very helpful.

Biden's history is FAR from Sanders' history, let's be real here.

David is usually fair in his assessment, but his desperation to have people vote for Biden is leading him to very weak reasoning. I am not arguing against voting for Biden, but, lets be fair, that little Reddit thing he showed is an absolutely abysmal piece of argument. To start with, you can pick and choose any issues you want to show agreement or disagreement between any 2 people. Where is universal healthcare in the list? Where are their views on regime-change wars? More importantly, when we compare people, we should take into account their record, not what they say to get elected. Personally, I don't see much evidence in Biden's record to suggest he will fight for any of those issues, and plenty of evidence to believe he will do as Wall Street says. With that said, Trump is very, very dangerous. So let's call things as they are. We have the choice between a another neo-liberal centrist or an authoritarian narcissist with strong fascist tendencies.

I just waiting to see who the corporate establishment will choose as Biden's VP. I don't think Joe has 4 years in him.

Come on David. Talk is cheap. In rhetoric Bernie and Joe are close. In action Joe is closer to Trump.

The question isn't whether Biden is closer to Bernie's policy positions. The question is will he follow through on keeping those positions.

"Biden won't push But Biden could be pushed into pushing for them. trump never.

I think the reason people say such incorrect things about Biden's policies is probably because BIden don't really talk that much policy.

Important points were made here. I honestly think the majority of the "Bernie or bust" people are trolling in hopes of benefiting the right, and the rest actually don't stand for much, they were just attached to Bernies persona. I know Biden is more establishment, more pre-Trump status quo, but PLEASE ELECT PRE-TRUMP STATUS QUO RATHER THAN MORE OF THIS.
