With the benefit of hindsight, and given what has now happened in Tehran, the address by PM Netanyahu to Congress last week takes on added significance. One may recall that he reminded his audience that the real enemy (both Israel's and the US) is Iran, and that Israel is facing the challenge of Iran on behalf of itself AND the US. To my mind, the subtext of his remarks was that the US should join Israel in engaging the Iranians. One can only hope that the US will not see Israel's ambitions in the region as its own.
