BSMS Monthly Lecture - Understanding vaccine hesitancy: is there room for respect?

In this talk, Dr Karen Patterson covers a review of the history of vaccine hesitancy and unpacks particular aspects of Covid-19 vaccine fears.

Dr Patterson reviews the (scant) data on getting people to change their mind about medical decisions. As a pro-medicine, pro-vaccine person, Dr Patterson poses the controversial question of how righteous we are allowed to be when patients make “poor” decisions.

This lecture is part of the Brighton and Sussex Medical School's Monthly Lecture Series, designed for secondary school and college students.
