In this talk, Dr Sarah Marshall, Honorary Lecturer in Global Health, attempts to bust some global health myths, talking about social determinants of health and looking at how we can all play a role in improving access to medicines globally whatever our background.
Sarah Marshall is an Honorary Lecturer in Global Health, having recently retired from the Global Health and Infection Department at BSMS. Sarah is a qualified pharmacist. Her PhD looked to find new medicines to treat malaria based on plant remedies being used in West Africa. Sarah has worked in Oman and The Netherlands as well as the UK, in various pharmacy settings including: community and hospital pharmacy, as well as at universities and in clinical trials.
