"If YOU want to get into Fleetwood Mac... you should definitely send them a demo tape, they're probably currently looking for a new member."

25:39 "The band actually wanted to thank their drug dealer in the liner notes. They didn't, not because someone told them not to, but because their dealer died before the record came out."

That's why you gotta tell your drug dealers you love them any chance you get.

Thank you for spotlighting how integral of a songwriter Christine McVie was. RIP

How crazy is it that Christine's maiden name was Perfect? If I was John, I would have taken HER name. And then insisted that everyone address me as "Mr. Perfect" at all times.

I had no idea the band had such a long history before Lindsey and Stevie joined, and also now I kinda want Todd in the Shadows to do a Trainwreckords episode on Time.

It's amazing to see that a band can stick with one consistent lineup for iver 50 years with no drama or hiatus at all.

ABBA would make for an amazing Deep Discog Dive one day. They have no shortage of number one singles, but do the deep cuts hit just as hard? Let’s find out!

Rip Christine. One of the best underappreciated songwriters of her generation.

The channel will never be the same without Mic and Snare’s heartwarming relationship. I hope they can settle their differences and make 17 albums someday too

The vocal harmonies on “Rhiannon” could bring about world peace, they’re so goddamn good

I’ve said it once before, and I’ll say it again. Weird Al DDD. The story of one man becoming a musical comedy legend is nothing short of interesting facts. Plus, I NEED to know what Mic’s favorite album is. My money’s on Even Worse or Dare to be Stupid.

Plus, the Weird Al parody biopic comes out in November, so it’s a perfect opportunity to talk about him.

Fun fact: "Sun King" off the Beatles Abbey Road medley was actually inspired by Fleetwood Mac's "Albatross". George Harrison said as much in an interview years later:

"At the time, 'Albatross' (by Fleetwood Mac) was out, with all the reverb on guitar. So we said, 'Let's be Fleetwood Mac doing Albatross, just to get going.' It never really sounded like Fleetwood Mac... but that was the point of origin."

Can’t believe Mic and the Snare did a cover of We Cry Together!

This series has really filled a hole left by Deep Cut taking its indefinite hiatus. Really glad you're doing these Mr Snare

it is a real pipe dream of mine for a beach boys DDD, but i almost don't want it to happen because i care too much about your sanity due to the sheer volume and violently swerving quality of their discography, not even to mention the lore and real life events

1. Captions are still being worked on, they should be available within the next few days. (EDIT: Captions are now live!)
2. I’m picking the DDD for next month, but feel free to suggest artists to cover for next time.

Thanks for watching!

I almost cant believe that Dreams was written in 10 minutes, to write something that sounds so... flawless in such a short time, amazing.

My list of artists I would like to see Mic talk about:
-Them Crooked Vultures
-Temple of the Dog
-Jeff Buckley
-Sex Pistols
-Lauryn Hill
-The Smile
I’m still working on this list but it would be so cool to see Mic cover these great artists.

Silver Springs is my absolute favorite Fleetwood Mac song. It’s such a crime it wasn’t on rumors because it’s Stevie Nicks at her absolute best-the lyrics and vocal performance are exquisite, and the building tension really hammers home the emotional intensity. It might be her most breakup-y song too. It was cut from Rumors because it didn’t physically fit on the album and I think she tried to actually fight Mick over it. It wasn’t officially released until it was live on the dance but nowadays you can find the original recording as a bonus track to rumors! Definitely recommend taking a listen.
