Follow Me:

FitnessFAQs will be covering the pseudo planche lean today. This exercise is one of the best for beginner-intermediates to use in their planche journey. It's a great progression to use in a workout because the exercise practices the forward lean needed in harder static planches, such as the straddle. The concept taught in today's video can be applied also to the pseudo planche pushup. If you want to get stronger at holds and planche pushups, using a wall is a perfect way to stay accountable. If you're looking for a complete planche training program, download Planche Pro to start making serious gains.

LEAN! I've been trying to learn planche for 3 months and today I accidentally went too far forwards and my legs kinda just floated up. Did my first full straddle planche hold today, I'm pretty sure I had the strength this entire time I just had bad technique ;/

This is why I like your channel. You come up with simple solutions to mistakes we dont even know we're making. I first caught on with your pulley system for the one arm pull up.... now this. Good work.

The first time I fully protracted the shoulder blades and shoulders and did this I felt the difference instantly. Went from holding the position for 25 seconds to less than 5... Always practice proper form and take the time to make sure its proper!!!

Great video! I like being able to measure specific parts of an exercise so I can monitor progress. Lately, I've been doing archer rows with rings and I make sure that the rings are always the same length and that my feet are in the same spot so I can perfect form and slowly increase reps.

Since seeing this video I always bring my measuring tape to my trainings when training planche leans. I feel stupid but also smart when doing this and it really helps.
Another tip that I have is pointing my toes while leaning forward. I don´t know if it's optimal but it prevents me from leaning back. I also use that technique when doing decline pushups, as I want naturally want to shift my weight back as the reps get harder.

Wow! Never thought of this! I use a simular method for psuedo planche pushups with feet against wall to stay true, but never this for planche leans! Definitely will incorporate this into my planche journey! Thanks a million!! Great Vid!

Hey you said the purest truth: if you don't train in a measurable way, your body will alway stay
in the "comfort zone" area. I've been stuck on this for months and cannot wait to try the new approach you recommend.
