OK folks, this keeps coming up in the comments, so I'm doing this as a 'pinned' comment for those who are you are trying to update from any version of Opencore pre- 0.7.x.

OC has had a few file system/structure changes over time, especially when going from 6.x to 7.x. So I would update in baby steps from the different versions from you present one (for instance, 5.x), through to 8.x. Ideally the best thing to do would be to do a clean install from scratch, leaving no old unnecessary files residing behind the scenes.

Man this is clutch! I was actually at version 0.7.7 because the old version is so tedious I was like forget it, but now I can keep it up to date. Of course, I’m about to update to Ventura so wanted to make sure OC was at the latest version. Thanks for the time and effort put into this video tutorial.

Thank you, PandorasBox. I followed this tutorial and successfully updated OpenCore to 0.8.8. I was then able to update directly to Ventura from Big Sur.

I used to mount EFI partition with Clover and now with EFImount it's quite simple ... I have tried Mist on your other video but it didn't work because i have BigSur and this application is not compatible with this OS !
