California CUTS PAYMENTS to Homeowners For SOLAR!

If California is making cuts to homeowners for their solar generation, the rest of the country won't be far behind. Solar mandates don't work and this failure is part of the proof.

People who put faith in Government get what they deserve. 🙄

We just moved from CA to Utah. We lived in CA our whole lives. We almost never used our heaters or air conditioner. It was way too expensive. Almost like making another house payment. We wore down jackets inside in the winter and used ceiling fans and a swamp cooler in the summer along with a clothesline year-round. I was always cold in the winter and the cooler could make it really humid. Now that were in Utah, we can afford to use our heater and air- conditioner. It's so nice to be warm even when its 4 degrees outside. Were so glad we moved. It's so nice to feel safe again!

And people couldn't figure out why I built my system completely separate from the grid. The solar panel's on homes tied to the grid was never for the home owner...it was about producing power for the grid without having to invest in the land to build a solar farm!!! The fact that they don't offer any battery storage or a switch to go to off grid on the tie in is a dead give away!

When your batteries are topped off, feed your panels back into the grid. When they stop compensating you, find something to dump it into like a portable Battery charger for your neighbors. Will Prowse had an empty enclosed trailer with panels in the driveway. Keep dumping it all into an ac unit in the trailer just so he could, doing data collection test

If that was so true then why do our leaders don't have solar on there roofs and buy houses on the beach

I live in Cali and doing the math getting solar panels never added up. To withdraw 30k to40k now to save 25$ - 35$ a month on a product that loses 3% productivity a year per and up to 30% production if panels are dirty. Neighbors upset that they get a 500$ tru-up bill after 3 years. Look, nobody that I know who has solar on their home has ever bragged about it or tried to convince me. How old is your roof, 30k to 40k on my 20 year old roof that cost 30k to 40k to replace.

I would be ticked off and filing a class action lawsuit. One of the main selling points of these systems is being "paid" for the excess power you produce. They were promised payment, and now the terms are being changed without their consent.

Yiiikes lol!! This is a total Self Own, California. We have been following you for years and we HAVE finally sold our Suburban home and went and bought 40 acres of raw land to start our OWN homestead! We are a small channel still but we are working hard on YouTube to get this land liveable so we too can GO FARM!!
You're a big inspiration to us, Zach!!

We have a generation that can’t think for themselves. I grew up where we were told that we were going to have another ice age. They even had the movie how this was going to happen. We didn’t go crazy like this generation.

Dane Wiggington had his home up near lake Shasta fitted with solar and then realized that he wasn't getting all the energy from solar that he had figured because of all the cloud cover which he realized was being artificially created by planes spewing aerosol particulates into the skies above blocking the rays of the sun, he developed his own website and U-📺 channel called Geoengineering Watch to speak out about it. Doug from off Grid with Doug and Stacy is also aware of this and says you have to have a back up generator to compensate for all the artificial cloud cover, referred to by Dane Wiggington as SRM solar radiation management, a program designed by the government to reflect the rays of the sun back to the upper atmosphere to combat global warming.

its about money. They are talking about raising the price of electric. So if they the utilities companies pay less for electricity and charge more to their other customers they are going to make more

Gotta cut back on solar subsidies when you’re handing out free trans surgeries to minors, abortions and sanctuary for non tax payers. Makes sense. I mean he can’t bleed much more out of those of us who actually work. Too many of us are leaving.

From my understanding, when the power goes out at the utility company, grid-tied solar still goes out since there's no batteries, right? To me that completely defeats the purpose of spending $30k (that's how much we were quoted for our house) to be self-sufficient!

They needed that money for social programs.

Ireland has never paid people for their solar back feed! People here just didn't bother being worried about it 😑

CA is behind the times on cutting payments in net metering. KY power commission requested to lower rates to $0.02 per kWh from $0.10875 per. In the end after a lot of complaining lead by solar companies, it was lowered to $0.7875 per kWh.

The commission also wanted to require all power generated to go to the grid first instead of the current you get to use it first the send the excess to the grid. That got rejected.

It is rather scary 5 people can unanimously dictate such things. I wonder what next they will determine, for your own good, what you can and cannot do on your own property.

🤔 like stealing a farmers excess produce. Unless this reduces the cost of electricity what right do they have taking what we pay to produce?

I'm pretty sure California recently passed a law mandating that every new house built have solar panels. Seems like the timing here is quite a coincidence...
