Here's another tip from the EQ Ninja 🥷🏻

If you've got a muddy track but you don't want to lose the low end of the snare and the vocal with a big cut...

Try this ⬇️

In dynamic mode, do a cut at 160Hz

Then add some more at about 380Hz

This will take the muddiness away from the bass and the low mids

But by adding some more in at 380HZ, you're adding a bit of juice back into to the vocal and the snare 👍🏻

here's a weird some treble to say a snare, and listen to what happens with vocals.
Often, they suddenly lift up. Those are/ were my true WTF moments. I also experienced the same with bass. Add treble, vocals pop out in the treble range, just weird, but very useful to notice. It tought me to stop touching your EQ, and focus on volume rides first. I have to admit I used to be a very critical DJ when it came to mixing. That perfect blending works on the volume, not the EQ. EQ messes up the totality/ fullness of the track.

Would you like to do a video on design approach for a song. Myself I need a subject (like a name) first, so I can restrict myself from 1: going crazy
and 2: A subject or name gives you direction/ restriction to get close to the sound you need, as fast as possible.
What's your approach?
