Talk Summary: In recent years rhetoricians have begun to view objects as capable of persuasion, and in turn seek to understand how objects exert suasive force. In this presentation, Dr. Kreuter considers the potential persuasive qualities of trees, and the possible differences between persuasion and narrative, as well as the implications of such a distinction for knowledge-building across disciplines.
