There are A LOT of small details on the Battle Barge between missions that reflect events from previous missions or foreshadow something that's going to happen. I've spent a lot of time just examining every inch of the barge every time I came back ;D

Unless he rejoins the Deathwatch I don't think Titus will wear that pauldron again. Though he might utilize the cloak again when he gets promoted.

The organization is called the Death Watch
Black shields are space marines with their chapter iconography erased for personal reasons. Which serve in the Death Watch. They erase it due to personal reasons and will not return to the chapter they came from and will usually remain in the Death Watch forever. Titus however is a special case.

Typically Marines who served in the Deathwatch will wear one DW Pauldron after returning to service. Presumably the Pauldron was given to Titus for such a purpose, but he doesnt wear it because his time was meant to be a punishment for him. This should probably raise some questions with the other Ultramarines. These suspicions may be aleviated however by the fact that his right Pauldron features a Crux Terminatus, which could be considered an equal or even superior honor.

Smaller then Titus
Same size as Titus
Little higher then Titus
