I think what I love most about this song, what a lot of people tend to miss, is that it's deliberately overly cheesy and "look at us, we're great friends", in order to parallel each scene with Starlight and Trixie where things are going totally wrong

From what I can gather, a lot of people weren’t that keen on this song when it was new, and I’m surprised.

Whereas I immediately fell in love with it! It’s the quintessential MLP song, and it’s even meant to poke fun at the show itself. But it’s still a sincere song.

Easily my favourite in the whole series!
