CLASSIC REBOOT: Listening to Animals with Miranda Alcott

Miranda Alcott, MA, is an intuitive, animal communicator. She also has been a certified Crisis Responder and instructor/trainer for the National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA), as well as a member of NOVA's Response Team. She earned her masters degree in spiritual psychology from the University of Santa Monica. She has also studied with renowned "animal ambassador," Linda Tellington-Jones, and is a Certified TTOUCH Practitioner for Companion Animals.

Here she describes how each animal species has a unique culture. Animals can communicate with us, and can even teach us, if we are willing to quiet our minds, let go of our preconceptions and listen. This often comes naturally to children. In fact, sometimes children experience communication from animals as an imaginary playmate. Animals can also communicate through visual imagery and energetic patterns akin to what is sometimes thought of as the "aura". When opening up to communication with animals, it is very important to develop a sense of inner self-trust. She claims that we all, subconsciously, use telepathy throughout the day.

New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in "parapsychology" ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980). He is past-vice-president of the Association for Humanistic Psychology, and is the recipient of the Pathfinder Award from that association for his contributions to the study of consciousness. He is also past-president of the non-profit Intuition Network, an organization dedicated to creating a world in which all people are encouraged to cultivate and apply their inner, intuitive abilities.

When I worked in the film industry, I asked an animal trainer how he was able to train any animal, and his response was he simply envisioned what he wanted them to do. That simple lesson was so instructive. It certainly made it easier to ride horses, and understand my own pets' needs. Wonderful interview.

Wish more people would be kinder to all animals. So many people expect aliens to treat us kindly, but the way we treat animals, is something more horrifying than any horror movie.
Aliens should treat people the way we treat other beings on earth.

I love this topic. She’s wonderful. A few years ago I had been at the beach with my daughters dog. We were all sitting on the couch and I felt my throat tighten. I looked over at him and he was standing in the kitchen staring at me. I heard “I need water.” I got up and filled a bowl. He didn’t look up until he drank all of it. Telepathy is absolutely a thing.

There’s a woman named Anna Breytenbach who communicates with animals. Search YT, her videos are very moving.

Hi to all
Yes, we are definitely not alone.
We are all connected and we are not alone.

WOW What a Wonderful wise woman thank you both so much. Feeling happy for the relation with my cat Tigriz two years. Never befor thought is was possible to feel so much for an animal. Feeling blessed by her presence - how else I would have endured the pandemic. Having her and listening to your programs has been the absolute best. Thank you once again Jeffrey.

This is something I intuitively knew as a very small child. I never wanted to eat my friends but was forced to until I furiously refused aged 14. I've had closer relationships with animals than with people. A learned person once said 'People we allow in to our company. Animals we allow in to our solitude'. I think that's a really important truth 💗

We get many hurt and lost animals at our home. They just show up. Wild & domestic. So we help. I have wondered my whole life about this.❤

When I was a child I remember an older cousin teasing me and saying that my great grandmother could talk to animals. He made it sound like she had conversations like humans have conversations. When I asked her about it she basically said "yes but not in the same way we speak". She then explained how I communicated with the family dog all the time and just never thought of it in that way. When he wanted to go out to use the restroom I knew what he wanted and he knew I knew what he wanted. That is speaking, just not in words. I've noticed most of nature will speak to us in a similar way once they realize we'll actually listen. The more we listen the more they will speak

Several accomplished meditators are known to have taught to animals. For example the 11th century Tibetan Buddhist saint Milarepa was said to have pacified a conflict between a hunting dog and a deer and was he was also said to given some animals advanced meditation instructions. Even recently there is a youtube video about a cat at a Korean Buddhist nunnery that has apparently become quite an adept meditator.

Recently I noticed that one of my grand dogs noticed the distress I face because one of my 3 grand dogs is hyperactive and seemingly unable to control herself around me. This other dog intervenes in a protective way that stops the hyper dog from leaping up on me and possibly hurting me because I am old. The protective measures change in creative ways and it has become striking to me as the situation progresses. Another interesting event I experienced was a caged cougar in a nature preserve that followed my every move as I circled its enclosure and never removing its gaze at me and speaking to me constantly in “cougar talk”. It was an extraordinary experience with me wondering why I was singled out.

I have had my dog for 12 years. I feel like I can talk to my dog.
I talk to him in my mind as well. My dog understands human language too so he can understand me verbally.

Well that might explain why our lovely old Springer is fascinating by new born babies! He's normally only interested in his own people but if there's a newborn around, off he trots to pay a little visit; he's gone through hedges to see a neighbour's new babies, disappeared in pubs to sit by a newborn's pram...he's looking out for the poor little toothless things. ❤️🐾

oh course animals are communicating with us if you just listen. you don't see to many people talking about this, I'm starting to notice others with telepathy too or there noticing me.

I always think I need an animal communication specialist to help me communicate to my cat that tap water is not good for her, because she fights me over it at the sink every time i'm washing up. We bought her a water fountain with filters and everything but she still always insists on drinking "with me" from the bathroom sink because she's a social eater/drinker and loves to catch the water dripping from my hands and face. so according to what Miranda said, she knows it's not good for her and that would probably accumulate harmful metals in her system and she's like "let me have my junk food, woman!" 😤 and I want her to know "sweetie I respect that, but I also want you to live a long life..." I bet stubbornness is a big part of feline culture too....

While our nearest primate relative, the chimpanze, violently killed his owner for giving a birthday cake to the younger/newer chimpanze. Jealousy is one human trait the deceives our better nature.
