A 200 dollar increase would help buy groceries, at least. I would still be under poverty level but would appreciate the increase. I think about these rich people sit around eating steak and potatoes and I can't even afford hamburger and just a little chicken that is on sale. I get 1, 211.00 per month and my bills take most of that.

Social security is not welfare we worked and paid in my husband worked 2 jobs for 20 years, because we had kids going to college and I worked and my kids worked during the summer ….if the government would pay the money back they borrowed from social security there wouldn’t be a problem, what it was 2.7 Trillion dollars plus interest. Like they truly are able we sent more money over seas instead of taking care of the homeless veterans, elderly, education, homeless, high medication prices, high food prices ect but we are blessed
