Ironically, the same can be said for any currency.

If one person has all of it, then it's literally worthless. A currency derives it's worth from it's intrinsic value and it's ubiquity of exchange. Bitcoin is digital so it's intrinsically worthless, and if nobody is exchanging with it because only one person has it, it's literally worthless.

That's why bitcoin was worthless at the very beginning, and isn't worthless now, but might someday become worthless again. It all depends on whether or not a ton of people are going to continue to use it.
