Schützenpanzer Marder is a tracked German infantry fighting vehicle designed for use with the mechanized infantry specialized for IFV combat. It has been operated by the German Army as the main Panzergrenadiere IFV from 1970s through to the present day. Marder has proven to be a successful and solid infantry fighting vehicle design.

Despite being a far less capable platform in general the Marder is still prefered to the PUMA by some German IFV commanders. It's one of the very few IFVs in the world that can be used in heavily forested areas. The turret and gun are so compact they barely protrude over the hull even in 90° and 210° positions, meaning where other IFVs and MBTs would hit trees and other obstacles with their barrel the Marder can rotate its turret freely and lay down hate.

Unstabilized gun with a comparatively small caliber. Doesent matter much when its 50 meters from your position and fires 880+ HE rounds per minute into your trench. The guys that manned the (ex-)surovikin line will agree on that. The ones that are left.

Fantastic video! And the music fits perfectly to the 80's feeling :) Tornado, Marder, Leopard 1 and MG 3 rulez da world :D (and PzH 2000, but it is from another generation I know XD ). But seriously, I think an IFV needs a 37-40 mm autocannon and not just a 20mm one.
