Loving this! I was 10yrs old when my Mum hired a brand new Sierra L in 1983! Same colour, remember the small headlight front didnt last long before all gor the wider Ghia model lights.

The wheel turning backwards is quite normal when the prop is locked
( in your case with a seized engine )
In this circumstance if 1 wheel goes forward the other 1 has to go backwards.
This can happen on land rovers on certain circumstances like when jacking up etc as the handbrake is on the prop shaft.
Hope that was of some help to somebody.
Looks like a good shell rear arches, tire well and general panels look bloody good be interesting to see it on the ramp

our 64 yr old old buffer of a chum whom loves bangers but hasn’t his own internet & always turns up to distract & waste my afternoon has been captivated by your exploits which has allowed me to get on with the necessary instead of hearing the details of his generally uneventful week ! I’d began his distraction by showing the Austin A35 not having been started for 51 years video which in turn had recommended yours - so thanks guys & welcome to the 1980s …😁👍🐢

How does this bloke own a garage when none of them seem to know about cars.

You lot haven’t got a clue that engine needs a complete strip and rebel and a full recommission. It will make a nice car if you don’t ruin it

The Sierra was a fabulous car everyone owned one at one time. That upholstery will clean up like brand new.
A bit of TLC and she will be so nice to drive.

Back in the day, I used to be a ford mechanic at the main dealer in Stockport when your car was new ..! Then I went onto building and tuning. Oh, , and racing.. Good luck fella. ✌️👍🇬🇧

Good Afternoon Josh. What an Incredible barn find. I take my hat off to all and everyone who was involved in finding and bringing this Great British Icon of the 1980's. Pretty Good condition for the age of her. Really Good bodywork and paint very Good. She needs a really Good wash and a full detail on her. A very Good Interior clean and vacuumn. A nice bit of tidying up. Have a look at the Electricals as well. I am very Impressed Josh with your Barn find. I can not wait to see the finished project. All the Best to you and your Friends. 😃😃😃👍👍👍👍

Top notch stuff, they have their faults but I love the mk1 sierra shape ..
Brilliant find .
You have won me back with this .
Although clever and ingenious I'm not in to lowering cars, after the imp I didn't think you would do a garage find again 👍👍

Looks like it should come up a treat with a good pressure wash! My dad had one as his first company car, Sunburst Red with the 1.6L 'lean burn' engine, registration A278 CCF. It seemed like an absolute spaceship at the time, compared to the old '70s turds he used prior to its arrival, and the next door neighbours' square-rigged Cortina and Granada.

My grandad bought an identical A reg Sierra 1.6L new back in the day. It was his pride and joy!
