Loved these, my parents had a few of them, I passed my test in my D plate xr3i and then used the parents xr4i (had a cosworth kit and 3 spokes 😂) loved that car, it blew the head gaskets and I repaired it but down on a cylinder but by fuck it sounded good running on 5.

I remember when they brought the Scorpio XR4TI to Canada...
...by the second winter there were none left...
...even the ones parked in a heated garage all winter couldn't handle the cold outside and fell apart...
.. they just couldn't survive a canadian winter, they were pretty much headed to the scrapyards by Feb..

I miss my XR4Ti, brilliant car. But by the late 90's/early 2000's, parts availability was already a major issue. I'm sure that's not the case in the UK, but that one is clearly parts only at that stage of decay. Sad really.

I am glad I am in California That Merkur (Ford Sierra in Europe) car is rusty.
Still hard for me to believe these cars have became quite collectible I remember 15 years ago there was a slew of them ending up in the junk yards I always wanted to relieve one of its engine and trans for something like a 40 Ford pickup
