A woman was fatally shot by police inside her apartment in Fort Lee, New Jersey early Sunday morning. FOX 5 NY's Kendall Green reports.

So instead of de escalating the situation with a proper psych team the police just looked for an excuse to kill that young lady who needed help.

The relative called 911 stating his sister was having a mental health breakdown. In my hometown, the police department have crisis mental health workers who ride along with them for situations such as this. Police Officers are not trained in general to handle mental health crises.
