The most important fact you pointed out was that radical 80 is the hypotenuse.

So the first part of the clip was explaining that sqrt(80) was the hypotenuse, which is larger than these two:
2sqrt(2)
6sqrt(2)

Well as sqrt(80) is almost sqrt(81), which is 9; it should be obvious that it is the largest as sqrt(2) is approx 1.4.

Anyway 0.5 * b * h is

0.5 * 2 sqrt(2) * 6sqrt(2)
which is
{0.5 * 2 * 6} * { sqrt(2) * sqrt(2) }
which 12

Quick question, how else would you determine what the hypotenuse based off of the given numbers? Lets say you used 6×sprt(2) and sqrt(80) first? Then if that didn't add up to make 2×sqrt(2) would you try something else or is there a shortcut to knowing by looking at them which one will be the hypotenuse?

Skipped the step where you determine which 2 of the 3 side lengths are the base and height.

I used Heron’s formula but after watching video noticed it’s right triangle 😂

You made this way too difficult than it was
