That first man murdered his ex girlfriend and her 3 kids under the age of 10. He’s trying to seem docile with his glasses but his true persona came out when he was challenged. He’s an evil man.

BTW, the first guy, Henry Segura, was in a _death penalty trial_ for murdering the mother of his child, her twins, and their child-in-common. It's such a classic court moment to have a female prosecutor cross-examining a man who killed women and children, and have the man show his complete inability to control his temper with her.

The judge on the case is also fantastic. He's stern but relentlessly fair. He's retired now, but others may have seen him preside over the first Dan Markel murder trial.

The first one killed me. He looked at the judge like “who you talking to? Im a grown man !” A grown man wouldn’t be disrespectful and most importantly say I’m a grown man 😂

The judge dealing with the camera dude and investigator is beyond pi$$ed. He is working that jaw and wants to destroy someone so badly. Run while you can camera man, try to disappear. Your investigator "friend" is burnt toast.

Witness tampering and jury intimidation are serious charges. Glad that judge had good instincts and announced that he’d have the man who hired the 2 videographers thoroughly investigated.

That last judge when she mentioned religion and forgiveness felt far more threatening than she did sympathetic. She basically said “Pray to a god for forgiveness and redemption because you wont get any from me”. But yes there are several Christians in my life who are incredibly, over so, forgiving of others. Its a mixed bag if good and bad with those people.

You can't make a person feel bad for what they've done. If they lost their humanity enough to kill and take a child's innocence, they have most likely thrown away their humanity to do so. But people can be snapped out of that daydream of indifference.

By the judge saying that she sees the humanity in him, she could be - potentially - trying to shake the Dungpile's detachment and have him experience fear, regret, and shame. It's far more satisfying to see someone crumble in shame and fear for the pain they have caused others.

The judge in the last clip is the same woman who was the judge in Boze’s video on the crazy guy who represented himself (and screamed the entire defense) after murdering his family. She tore that guy up in her statement as well.

Poor judge deals with some really deranged cases.

That one judge calling out everyone with fact collection followed by complete annihilation by logic and calm, and then cold dismissal and authority - you know which one, the Keeper of Justice. His questions are masterfully crafted to trap and crush his prey. I was getting Agent Coulson from Agents of Shield vibes.

The idea behind the last judge's words is that if redemption is available for the most vile then it is certainly available to you. It's also a reminder that you are not the final authority of another person's fate.

I had the biggest smirk on my face with the last judge, until the last few words. I honestly thought she was going to say "I hope they don't answer" or something to that effect.

In case you are wondering, the last man who's being sentenced to death has a girlfriend who is the babysitter of the 9 year-old girl that he raped and killed. Looking back at this case, I can't help but feel pissed that the babysitter just left the 9 year-old girl with a man she just met and never bothered to question him when the 9 year-old went missing.
