It's the there's still some left but then when you leave the little bit left in the fridge, you get yelled at for leaving almost nothing in the container in the fridge for me

As someone who makes 13.83 after tax and deductions, that kid was spot on.

This hits hard, now that I’m older and out of the house I really understand how much my parents worked for what we had.

I vividly remember when we went from struggling to doing alright growing up. Most of it was actually getting more variety in meals, going out more often, and getting to take my own lunch to school.

I wouldn’t say this is middle class, but it’s pretty accurate

it’s hard, always making just enough but not having too little to get the help you need

I’ve always felt middle class but I just realized we might be above and it surprises me because my parents immigrated here and my mom and dad have their buisness and I’m thankful for it because without it I wouldn’t have what I do ❤

My parents were not rich, but I always had a roof over my head, a warm bed to sleep in and food on the table and I will always be grateful for that.

I hate when my parents talk about money around me and my siblings, it makes me feel like a burden

I love how much you move around in your videos. It's really soothing my ADHD, kinda like wind-chimes ❤

"Now you're startin' to get it." Dad isn't wrong there. I really wanted a car a sixteen until I did the math and found I'd literally only be able to afford to drive it back and forth to work and school.

Oh jeez, this woke up the childhood brain.

Growing up I never understood money. I never understood how stressful it was to be an adult until I was around 13 years old. (Due to tough times, I was forced to grow up)

Growing up I always thought we were well off because my parents only got the best for my siblings and me. It never occurred to me that we broke. We'd always get the newest clothes, newest toys, and newest everything for each holiday.

My dad also worked labor-intensive jobs to keep us afloat until he couldn't anymore and was forced onto disability. My mom's and his wallets since then have been burning. Every ounce of money they get has to go to bills, food, household items. They don't make enough for any luxuries other than keeping a roof over their heads including mine and my siblings.

My sister and I ever since getting jobs ourselves have been helping to keep it less stressful for them. Just so they have a little bit of money to treat themselves with.

Working your ass off for 25+ years and still struggling to make it, you deserve to treat yourself when you can.

If a pizza is 20$ after taxes and tip then that is 1.5 hours of work depending on minimum wage in your area. In mine its 12 but I make 13.50.

For a pizza? 1 1/2 is absolutely correct even on minimum wage

The last line is absolutely spot on there are plenty less fortunate than that. Plenty that don't have what the middle class does and can't afford a car and struggle to afford the bus.

i grew up upper class but my mom came from lower class (like literally homeless at one point) and my dad from middle class. bc of this i learned the value of money young and appretiated everything my parents did. its very important to teach ur kids the value of a dollar so they can grow up humble and appreciative. learning and understanding all the work my parents did to get where they were made me realize how much they rlly did for my brothers and i.

Growing up as a child I knew we were less fortunate than others but my parents did a good job keeping us fed and happy

When your parents have middle class money but still have working class sensibilities. One week groceries cane from Waitrose, the next week Aldi.
