Doesn't matter if you own 10k, 14, 18k, 22k, or 24k. As long as Gold continues to go up per oz, so will your Gold. Jewelry is a hit/miss, but gram bars to coins/rounds/bullions you're good to go, especially if you were purchasing in th 80s, 90s, and early 2000s. Your profits are huge.

I’ve been wearing my 10k Franco for 2 years it’s my daily I’m a wildland firefighter so I’m constantly drenched in sweat and I’ve never took the chain off so it’s been through multiple showers the chain still looks good. I recommend 10k as a beater chain.

It's no difference. I have a 10k gold almost 20 years an it's still shining. An durable as hell.

Why buy 10kt when you can buy 14k?
Why buy 14kt when you can buy 18kt?
Why buy 18kt when you can buy 22kt?
Why buy 22kt when you can buy 24kt?People always have something to say. Buy what you want. Do your research so you dont get ripped off.

Personally, i think 10k is super valid. You save some money, and all you really gotta do is just clean it every once in awhile if it tarnishes. The people who shit on 10k or people who wear 10k are just snobby pricks.

I just got a 10k 5mm 24 inch Miami Cuban, gotta say I absolutely love it. I had a 2.5mm 14k rope before, and wanted to upgrade to a bigger chain without breaking the budget too much. 10k still looks great and is extremely durable.

The naked eye can’t tell a difference between 10k and 14k, what we see is the plating when we look at a chain . We can’t notice a difference in durability between them either . At the end of the day what really makes the difference in durability is solid or hollow regardless of what the purity is . People say 10k is more scratch resistant, that’s now true enough to notice either . I have a 10k pendant with a solid back, and it’s got a bunch of small scratches that you have to look closely at to notice . And yes you can shower and swim in 10k, just make sure you rinse it good with regular water like you would your butt ! Gold has non tarnishing properties so when you combine gold with other metals and it becomes 1 metal (10k gold) that non tarnishing property carries over to the 10k

Great job on explaining the difference. I’m a 14kt guy, but don’t mind 10k.

You should make a video talking about how the different alloys make a different gold color, depending on how much of each there is. I've seen some 10k pieces that are more rosy but still "yellow gold".

I still have my first ever chain 9k solid 3mm figaro from Australia. It’s my training/workout chain lol holds up well against wear and tear while maintaining a decent shine as long as I wash it once a week.

Thanks, Braden. Good explanations and great for Jacoje/Linx buyers to have more options. One nice thing about 10k as well is that it lets you try out different links/sizes at a more accessible price point. Newbies can also experiment and find out if they really like wearing gold in general, including different types and sizes of those chains. Once you find something you like and continue to up your game, then move on to Jacoje and higher purity pieces. Thanks, Rich.

I had a 22 inch 5.5mm 10k flat curb gold chain that I wore with a religious pendant for over a decade and it always shined well and was very well complimented. People couldn’t tell if it was 14 or 10k and it held up perfectly throughout the years. Never tarnished and I wore it every day. In the pool, ocean, shower, sweat, to sleep. Italian made. It was great. Unfortunately, it grew legs while I was over seas but now I’m in the market for a 14k 5mm heavy link. Which reminds me, Braden when’s the restock?!? 😂

Good to know. Very informative about the differences and love the idea of more options.

what people don't realize too is it isn't necessarily true 10k is more durable. it's more scratch resistant but more brittle as a result of that hardness and more prone to shearing and snapping especially in hollow 10k ropes, where 14k in general is more likely to bend and stretch to a greater degree instead of shearing.

i actually like how light 10kt/14kt look like. i dont mind wearing 10kt gold, its jewelry thatll get scuffed, lost or stolen. if i was buying gold for its value i would be buying bullion and skipping the “labor” tax
