And this is something you would never find Indian school or coaching teachers doing - sitting with a problem and meditating on it for hours. This is how problems are solved in real life, but this kind of patience and building solutions from foundational knowledge is rarely found nowadays. Kudos to your patience!

You were supposed to leave this question, to be honest. Don't be misled. JEE Advanced contains only 2-3 problems like these in a single year. If you had enough luxury of time, it should ideally take you around 15 minutes.

I'm really disheartened by the flood of negative comments under this video. It really shows the cheap attitude and insecurity of Indian students. This guy solved this problem without any prior preparation or solving previous year papers, heck he doesnt even know what the syllabus is which makes it harder to know what concepts to use. He articulated his thought process in a simple manner which none of these commenters could ever. This is not a speedsolve, its an educational video. Grow up guys. More power to this guy for showing his passion in this video.

if one has practiced enough from good books/material then Q can also be solved in 5 min

as a JEE aspirant i would like to fill in with the details that this question was faar away from our syllabus and IITs only set these questions to trap students into solving(trying to) them and kill time....and also these questions ensure that nobody in the exam are able to secure full marks.
