Im amazed at how clean Kyle gets his bikes after riding. Even the mudflap looks brand new/never used.

Dude, my first bike was Honda 250f for the first 5 month then I jumped up to the KTM 500 exc-f at age 59. I say get what feels good in your hands. This has all happened since 2021. Zero riding experience prior to that. Ride fast, ride hard.

Probably your best video yet. Can save some people alot of time sorting thru all the BS on forums. One thing i didnt see is the maintenance factor. A trail 450 ridden at 1/2 throttle and under will last forever compared to 250f at 1/2 to full throttle.

I love that we are still talking 4T. I've been a die hard, but making a big decision for 2023.

I'm glad to hear you kept an open mind about the 450! The 2008 450sx I started on was the wrong bike for both my skill and the type of riding I did most of the time. Fast forward a few years and I have way more skill and control than I did back then. Couple that with the fact that these newer generation bikes handle sooo much better and are more manageable than the early 2000s 450 bikes, and I have a hoot on my 2017 Husky 450.

I'll never be good enough to ride the 450 on the single track available in my area, so I got the CRF250RX. But since I already have the 250, if I won a sweepstakes and had the choice, I'd take the 450 and make a supermoto out of it. I think that would be a LOT of fun, but I'd lose my license in no time.

For me 450 all day. On a Yamaha WR450F now. Not into small bore 4 bangers. Had a 350XCF and hated it with a passion. I love a good 250/300 two stroke too of the non TPi variety. Lectron rocks the two strokes. Who needs TPi, not me.

When it is all about fun every point you made is on point. When I was a dealer back in 2008 we took a WR 250 and a WR 450 to a HS trail we raced and rode often. There were 4 of us all racers from C-A between 28 to 45 years old we did a bunch of laps going back and forth between the bikes and times every lap. Everyone without exception said they were faster on the 450, everyone without exception was faster on the 250.

i really wish Honda made a 350 four stroke. it'd be the best thing ever! i grew up racing motocross and have ridden most of my life with the exception of the last 5 years which haven't been good to myself or my family. i want to get another bike again but i don't think i'll be getting a motocross bike, i'm thinking more along the lones of a KTM 350XC or the Honda CRF250RX. i had a 2013 CRF450R and while it was a great bike i prefer the agility of the 250f which is also why i like the idea of the 350. my last bike was a 2015 Husqvarna FE350S which was a dual purpose bike and it was amazing! the only thing i didn't like was the 6 speed gear box but i was able to fix that with the countershaft sprocket. excellent videos keep up the good work.

I love my 21 crf450rx! Amazing machine, and when it’s paid off I’m getting a crf250rx. Then I’ll have both 🤙

450's are awesome. Is it being lazy? I disagree. Clicking a gear higher up and riding with all that torque isn't "lazy". It's having fun. Period. Hill climbs are a breeze. Keep it in third and slip the clutch out of a corner and "BAM" you are moving fast. Love it!

I have a 02 YZ250 and a 06 RMZ450 and you're absolutely right. Both bikes have completely different personalities and force me to stay in the zone while riding!

Kyle As someone who has 2 bike you make a very good point about “the other bike” I constantly have to remind myself that they are different 300/450 and to not always compare them and enjoy the differences

I have an a fuel injected 300 2T and a new WR 450 and I find it the best combo! The 2T is my go to bike for all technical/difficult rides but the 450 just makes me happy and excited in all fast and loose terrains. If I needed to keep only one, it’d be the 2 stroke… but that is just my preference. I’m sure you can do anything in any of my bikes…it is just a matter of practice.

Got my first 450r after riding 125s years ago. Got back on and got used to the 450 in no time. Even though it's really fast it's not as powerful as I was first expecting. But I'm looking to get a 250 also because I miss the fun of running through the gears and looking for the power a little bit.

Awesome to see other bikes other than Orange 🍊 🤍 and the ♥️ variety from the Austrians. Keen to see more of Yamaha and Sherco too.

I find it interesting that alot of people think the 450s are heavy and hard to turn. I've ridden 450xc's for awhile now and really think they are lighter when you learn to use the power properly to your advantage. You will use way less energy when you learn to utilize all the 450's energy.
