Simon reminds me a lot of Gavin Harrison in terms of his inner-dynamics and those beautiful, subtle grace notes that lend so much soul and emotion to the music. How many songs have we heard over the years that lost emotion due to robotic, monotonal drumming or guitar playing? It's all those well-placed undertones, ghost notes and nuances that make listeners feel and become part of the music. This was a perfect example of how to emote. Simon is such a musical genius.

One of the best drum sounds ever recorded. Still holds up today. The whole recording is one of the best. Myself and many other tour audio engineers use this track to test the PA system tuning. Great musicians and fantastic engineers. Simmons's drums always sound great. Heard him live at the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood with protocol a few years back and was seated next to the stage right behind his kit and it sounded amazing. He's the real deal and one of the best in the world.
