i always loved how his Soundgarden drumming sounds so technical and weird, but never overplayed or showoffy

Matt Cameron's general "biology teacher who secretly is the best drummer in town" vibe is so inspirational.

I'm so happy that Drumeo finally got Matt Cameron into the studio. Saw him recently live with Pearl Jam, but in my heart he will always be Soundgarden's Matt Cameron.

I once read an interview with Neil Peart in 1994 from modern drummer, and he was asked if there were any new young drummers out there continuing to change the landscape of modern drumming, or creating a musicality on rock drumming that interested him, and he stated that there was one guy who he thought was achieving this. It was the gentleman you're watching, Mr. Matt Cameron.. If you have the seal of approval of Mr. Peart, then you're on the list to being or becoming a legend..

I like how Matt plays with a straight spine and back, no bending into the kit, young drummers should learn this.

I'll go out on a limb and say that Soundgarden wouldn't have had the same success without Matt. His drumming is so iconic and important to those songs.

10:28 I'm reminded of a quote from Kim Thayil: "The most boring (music) we ever heard was rock that was influenced by rock." Fantastic video.

The restraint and balance, and knowing to allow the vocals and guitar to breath and do their thing; these are what make Matt Cameron a fantastic drummer. Truly inspiring.

I was never crazy about Soundgarden's drums but watching him play opens up my eyes. Matt Cameron is a perfect drummer, he serves the song and this song is a lot harder than it looks/sounds. He's technical, yet balanced. I'm going to be paying a lot more attention to Soundgarden's drums from now on.

It’s just perfect. Perfect groove and perfect fills. He’s NEVER played a bad fill.

I love the way Soundgarden wrote those amazing odd time signature melodies... they found a way to put complex chords into a radio friendly song.

His contribution to that tune has always been one of my favorite aspects of it. Really unique and dramatic. It’s essential to the soundscape of the song.

This is one of those songs that will enter your brain randomly and will never forget fully. The best kind of ear worm.

Matt Cameron and Jimmy Chamberlin are the two greatest drummers to come out of the early 90s music scene. They transcended their genres and are fantastic drummers period

Shout-out mention to Danny Carey. He should definitely be included among the other two

A living legend! So glad he's finally on the channel. Soundgarden was my introduction to odd timings as a kid, and their influence is still so present in everything I make
