Ayrton Senna - On this day in 1988 Ayrton won the San Marino Grand Prix.

Senna duly sprinted away at the start of the race. Indeed the young Brazilian was quick to build a lead at the head of the field. Senna cruised home two seconds clear of Prost in second to achieve his first win as a McLaren driver.
