Meet Dr Rebecca Wade | ICE

Introducing Dr Rebecca Wade, senior lecturer in environmental science at Abertay University Dundee.

Rebecca’s research is linked to nature-based solutions and sustainable water management.

Rebecca loves teaching and enjoys taking students on field trips. Wherever she is, she’ll aim to draw subject areas together, linking engineer and environment.

As an ICE STEM ambassador, Rebecca tries to inspire the next generation of engineers to place sustainability at the heart of what they do.

She won ICE STEM Ambassador of the Year in 2022 and was named in the Women’s Engineering Society’s Top 50 Women in Engineering list in 2024.
